Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
Our big project for the week was getting the new washer and dryer set up! The washer arrived last Sunday, and the dryer arrived Monday. A plumber was supposed to come out on Monday as well to move some things around in the laundry room, but that got pushed back to Tuesday, so I couldn’t test out the new machines until Tuesday evening.
I have to say, these machines are amazing. I got the LG 3900 series, which is the one recommended by Wirecutter (I trust them with my life), and while they were expensive, they were so worth it. I’ve never had a really nice washer/dryer, and it’s a little ridiculous how happy these make me. I’m sorting my laundry a bunch and actually using all of the settings, like towels and bedding and sportswear, in addition to the normal setting!
Other than that, I haven’t been up to too much this week. I’ve been in a bit of a mental and emotional rut, but I’ve been sticking with my fitness and hygiene routines, so I’m considering that a win! I also finally started cooking again, cracking open Chrissy Tiegen’s first cookbook for inspiration.
Yesterday I finished painting the window frames on the outside of our kitchen (one of my October goals!), so I just need to paint some patches on the siding and we’ll be good to go until next summer. 🙌🏻
Oh, and I started making progress on my new 101 in 1001 list! Sean ordered our new couch last weekend (#19), and I’ve ordered some coupe glasses that I’m really excited about (#25). I won’t cross those off until they arrive, though. When the plumber was here, we also got a quote for adding plumbing for a wet bar in our dining room (#24), which is really helpful. I started watching Golden Girls yesterday (#98), because I’ve never seen it, and I ordered some ice ball molds for cocktails (#72) on Prime Day! Slowly but surely making progress.
