Last week, I attended the book launch party of A Very Merry Bromance, the newest book by Lyssa Kay Adams!
Lyssa lives in the Lansing area, so her book launch party was hosted at Schuler Books, a local bookstore chain. The Okemos store is about an hour and a half away from me, but I made the 3-hour round-trip trek out to celebrate the fifth book in one of my favorite book series!

December was a big reading month for me. In fact, according to Goodreads, December 2020 marked the most books I’ve read in a single month since I’ve had an account in 2011!

Is anyone else having a hard time reading during quarantine? I feel like people either have a really easy time with it (because it’s an escape from how terrible the world is right now) or a really hard time with it (because it’s hard to focus or find the brain space for another story).
Even though I’ve been struggling with it, I still managed to finish three books this month!

I’ve been having a hard time reading since the pandemic hit. My mind is constantly abuzz with anxiety, so being able to focus on a book has been tough. But somehow I managed to read four books in April, which I’m really proud of!

My goal for 2020 is to read 52 books—that’s one per week. You’d think quarantine would be a great time to make progress… and that will probably be the case, but the first two weeks were too anxiety-ridden to make big strides. 😂
That being said, I still read 3 books this month, which is nothing to scoff at!

I’m a bit late to the game with this roundup, but that’s alright! Some months are just like that.
It was definitely a slower reading month than January, but I was still able to complete three books, which I think is rather impressive! I’m still two books ahead of schedule for my goal of reading 52 books this year, so I’m feeling confident.
