Wow. Despite February being the coldest in my city’s history, I feel like it flew by.
No complaints here, for the record.
While it might be my birthday month, February is far from my favorite month of the year. It’s cold, and by this point, I’m just waiting for warm weather to arrive. The enchanting part of snow is completely gone from my memory.
But I’m still feeling pretty good about how I did with my goals. Let’s recap.
February Goals
Update the apartment so it has more of an adult feel.Yes yes yes yes yes. We got a comforter, a bench for the end of our bed, end tables, bins to keep in the end tables, and extra-large bowls. We also found some tupperware that will really work for us. It only took like three tries… Oh, and we got a cat tower for Val, but that doesn’t really give our apartment an “adult” feel. More of a “crazy cat lady” feel. Oh well.Finish my book. Hah. Yeah, I’m still less than a third of the way through.
Teach the puppy how to kiss, crawl, and drop it. One out of three isn’t bad. And it’s the cutest: kiss. “Drop it” has been the hardest, because it’s not teaching him to do something; it’s teaching him to not do something.
Make good progress on my blog / photography classes. One lesson from one class doesn’t really count as good progress, does it? Womp womp.
Publish three blog posts per week for the entire month.I got by with a little help from my friends! Angela and Ashley had some awesome guest posts last month.Become more active in my blogging Facebook groups.I wasn’t as active as I had liked, but I was definitely more active than I had been before. Baby steps!
So I got a little bit more than 50% of my goals accomplished. Not bad for a short month!
Let’s look at my goals for March.
March Goals
- Finish my book. Really, this time.
Exercise 3x per week. This can include dodgeball when it starts back up next week.
Make good progress on my blog / photography classes. Let’s make this one more tangible: I’d like to do five lessons from each of my three ABM classes this month.
Publish three blog posts per week for the entire month. Let’s keep this one going strong!
Start and complete my media kit. This is the challenge for the month in one of my blogging Facebook groups, so I’m going to try to accomplish it!
Go back and SEO 50% of my blog posts. I started doing this a while ago, but then I got waaaay behind.
Whew! What are your goals for the month? Leave me a link in the comments!
These are great goals, I may adopt some for myself! Way to go 🙂
Thank you!! Good luck with your goals 🙂
I just found your blog, and I love. My parents just got a cat tower for their kitten, and my fiance and I are trying SO HARD to not also get one for ours. We’re also going for the big kid vibe, but she’s just too darn cute and our willpower with her is nonexistent. Any recommendations on teeny tiny ones? Is that even possible?

Thank you so much Erica! We were actually looking for a place of refuge from our puppy, so we were looking exclusively at the super tall ones. But I have also gotten her some at Meijer (not sure if they have those where you live, but they’re like local Walmarts) that are in the shape of cheese and have little toy mice hanging from them. She loved that! Until the puppy destroyed it. Do you see a trend here? 🙂
AH PUPPIES. See I don’t have a puppy, but I can 100% see where that might be an issue for the kitty!
Yay for big kid apartments! Mine is personally still decorated in the theme of “glitter” sooo…
Randi with an i
That can be adult….
Those are great goals, drop it was hard my my puppy too. And yeah for adult apartments!
Thank you! We just enrolled in an obedience class, so hopefully that helps!
Setting public goals is so important to your success! I have been tweeting mine and keeping personal track, but I love the thought of making a post about it.
Best of luck with the book writing! That is an item that has been on my goals list for years.
Thank you! That goal is actually about the book I’m reading. 🙂 It’s a 1,110+ page book that’s taken me MONTHS to read. 🙂
Oh oh oh! I completely missed that, but the goal is still 100% impressive. 1k pages is a long time to stick with one set of characters/in a universe.
Right?! And it’s actually one 1k-page book out of five. Woof. I’m loving the series, but I’m ready for a change!
I love the way you have written out your goal and you review the previous month, such a good idea! I taught my dog how to kiss when you say “I love you” it is stinkin’ adorable!
Oh my gosh I love that!
Kiss is definitely the best dog command, so that should totally be a completed goal!! lol Great post, and great goals!!
Thank you!!
this is great… just inspired me to go back & revisit those goals i made for myself earlier this year! I also have a photography class as one of mine, what is the ABM course you’re taking?
Thanks! I’m taking DSLR Basics, Blog Life, and Photoshop for Bloggers. 🙂
These are great! I need to sit down and do this myself!
Thank you!!
