Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
It was another week. Luckily it wasn’t quite so terrible as last week, but it was long. We had a big (virtual) conference for work, so I was working until 7 or 8 every night. Again. It was the same conference I went to last February in St. Louis, but without all of the fun social stuff at the end of each day, which actually made the virtual format more exhausting than the in-person one.
But I’m feeling the light at the end of the tunnel! Our current big projects are wrapping up in the next two weeks, and the snow is starting to melt. I’m sure we’ll get another snowstorm before summer, but it feels like hope outside.
I’ve also realized an interesting and important correlation: the less I feel stressed and overwhelmed about work, the more interested I am in doing my favorite things like blogging and reading! (Not exactly earth-shattering, I know, but still nice to feel more like myself again.)
The March picks for Book of the Month came out today and I couldn’t help but fill my box (again). I picked The Last Apothecary, and added two other books that I regretted not ordering sooner: Outlawed and The Four Winds! I’m excited to start reading a bunch again. 🥰
I’m technically one book behind on my goal of reading 75 books this year, but I have the feeling I’ll finish Bringing Down the Duke today and catch back up!
I also received my new Books sweatshirt in the mail yesterday, which makes me so happy! I can already tell it will be my new go-to sweatshirt year-round!
Today I finished my Project Management Professional (PMP) Prep I course! It was a bunch of extra work on top of my crazy work schedule, but I’m proud to announce that I passed! 🤗 I’m feeling much more confident in my project management skills.
