Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday, and happy birthday to my dad! Here are the scratches for the week.
We had a bit of a scare at the beginning of the week… Val got out. She learned how to use the doggy door, and on Monday I forgot to replace the cover for it after letting Stanley out. We had the doors to the porch open while we watched TV, and we didn’t realize until we were getting ready for bed that we hadn’t seen the cat. We found her! She was in the bushes next to our house. But holy cow was that a stressful 20 minutes or so.
(She has since been banished from the porch.)
I did a lot of work this week. My boss was out Monday through Thursday, so I was covering for some of her projects while also doing the two jobs I’ve been doing since April. It was… too much. Very glad it’s over!
I launched Camporee, which was a lot of fun! I got to put together hot dog and s’more combinations in a big guidebook for families. It took a really long time but was so worth it.
We spent the weekend relaxing as much as possible because we both have busy weeks ahead. We tried out two new games that we loved—highly recommend both! Mesozooic and War with the Evil Power Master.
