Now that the cold weather is setting in, I’m gearing up for cozy season, which means all the books. I’ve got a huge collection of books at home (physical books and ebooks!) that I want to get through, plus an entire library system at my fingertips. In order to focus myself, I’ve put together a short reading list for the winter!
His Dark Materials

I remember reading The Golden Compass in grade school, but for whatever reason, I never finished the trilogy. I also barely remember the story, despite reading it and seeing the movie back in high school. Well, with the new HBO show (with Lin-Manuel Miranda!), I definitely want to reread the first book and actually finish the series this time.
I’ve already finished The Golden Compass, so now it’s onto The Subtle Knife! Make sure to follow along on Goodreads!
Big Little Lies

I mentioned in my summer reading list that I wanted to read Big Little Lies after finishing up my library books, but that just never happened. Winter seems like a great time to get back to it! Helloooo all of the cozy reading time.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Speaking of books I own that I’ve never read, a few years ago I got all 5 books from the Percy Jackson series and have never gotten around to reading them! I have the feeling I’ll zip through them, I just need to make it a priority to read (and then probably get rid of) the series.
First They Killed My Father

Another re-read! I read this book back in high school, and I remember being so moved by it, but I unfortunately barely remember it. Then, after watching the third season of GLOW, I really wanted to reread it. I think I’m intimidated by it because I keep putting other books in front of it… probably because it’s depressing. But it’s important to me that I make it a priority!
It’s going to be a cozy winter full of good books! What are you reading this season?
