Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
Sean was in Florida all week visiting his family, so Stanley, Val, and I had the house to ourselves! I was expecting a bunch of downtime to relax and do things around the house, but somehow they just never happened!
I dropped Sean off in Grand Rapids last week Saturday. His flight was delayed about 5 hours, but luckily we caught it before I dropped him off at the airport. We spent a couple hours at my parents’ house working on puzzles, catching up, and having dinner. An unexpected but nice way to spend the afternoon!
I spent a bunch of time reading last week Sunday, finishing my first book of 2020, Know My Name by Chanel Miller. Highly recommend.

P.S. I’m going to be sharing updates / reviews in my Instagram Stories as I work through my goal of 52 books in 2020, so be sure to give me a follow on Instagram as well as on Goodreads!
At work this week I spent a bunch of time working on Cookies (did you hear about our new Cookie?!) and getting the camp website ready for registration to open in a few weeks! Two of my favorite projects.
On Tuesday I started my new ceramics class! The local art institute offers classes, and I finally signed up for a beginner ceramics class, which is on my 101 in 1001 list! It was the first of 12 classes, and I loved it.
Bowl or manatee? Or both?
The three bowls I made (above) are pretty rough, but they’re mine, and that’s good enough for me! I keep reminding myself that I don’t need to be great at it right away.
On Wednesday my mom came into town to try out a new restaurant and see Cats! It was…. fine. But we both have A-List, so it didn’t cost us anything out of pocket.
Stanley was very excited for grandma (my mom) to visit
My mom and I are very much alike… we arrived so early to the movie that the previous movie’s credits were still rolling.
I picked up Sean on Friday afternoon, and I swear we spent the entire evening napping. I was surprisingly exhausted from my week alone, and Sean was exhausted from a long day of travel. But we’re so glad he’s home!
Yesterday was a gross rainy / icy / snowy day. We unfortunately needed to pick up some things from the grocery store, so we couldn’t spend the whole day inside. But other than that, we’ve been putsing around the house, cooking, and relaxing, which has been so nice!
