Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
The Week in Review
This week was definitely an adjustment! After vacation all last week, going back to work was pretty rough. But we made due!
I went a little crazy with nail polish purchases this week (more on that later this week!). The new Essie Winter 2019 collection came out, so I got that, and then got all of the nail polishes I needed to recreate this look. SO excited to try it out soon!
With the time change, I’ve been staying in quite a bit in the evenings… which has been a nice change after all of our crazy work on our porch.
Speaking of the porch, we finally got our porch windows in and installed! You can see the first one we installed above, and the rest were installed yesterday. It’s SO nice to have done, especially because we’re supposed to get a bunch of snow tomorrow.
Thankfully, in addition to getting the windows in, we got almost all of the leaves out of our yard and into the road. Kalamazoo does leaf collection from the street, which is so nice. No needing to bag up the pounds and pounds of leaves that fall into our yard!
We were going to see a movie today, but decided to stay in after all of our hard work yesterday. I’ve been watching Christmas movies on Netflix (don’t @ me) and in general tidying up the house. Not a bad weekend!
Around the Web
Currently making these cookies. Really excited to see how they turn out!
I really appreciated this in-depth look at low-cost ways to fight the “winter blues.”
Took a bunch of notes while reading this post.
Have your phone ready for this one! It’s a round-up of numbers you should definitely save in your phone.
