Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! It was a crazy fun week, but I’m excited to get back into a regular schedule again. Here are the scratches.
The Week in Review
I spent a majority of this week in Chicago for Angela‘s birthday. We saw Hamilton (!!), walked around downtown, visited the library, and went to the Hamilton Exhibition. It was a blast! I’ll be doing a full recap this week, so stay tuned for that. (But you can get a preview by reading Randi’s post about it!)
Before I left for Chicago, I finished the fifth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series (aka Game of Thrones) for the second time! It was on my 101 in 1001: Take 2 list AND my April Goals, so it was really nice to cross it off! I spent my free time in Chicago finding the pre-released chapters from book 6, Winds of Winter, so now I’m all caught up.
I’m now continuing my GRRM theme with a re-read of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms!
I got back late Thursday night and worked a full day Friday, but it was nice because it felt like a Monday, but it was actually Friday. Woo!
Sean and I spent Friday gathering all of the things in our house that don’t spark joy and priced them all for the big neighborhood yard sale, which was yesterday. We got paid to sit outside in the sun and let people take our crap! Yes, please.
Today I’m evaluating everything in our fridge, meal prepping for the week, and in general tidying up. It’s been a whirlwind of a week, but I’m ready to get back into a regular schedule. I thrive on routine, so as much fun as mid-week trips are, I’m also excited when they’re done.
Around the Web
Yesterday was Star Wars Day, and I think the Detroit Red Wings had the best post. Larkin is just so happy!
I’m so impressed by how often Randi travels alone. I think my anxiety would prevent me from enjoying it.
Are you unintentionally weakening yourself at work?
This is a really interesting way to look at your to do list.
Now excuse me while I continue to play the Hamilton soundtrack on repeat.
