Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
This week, thankfully, went very quickly. I felt like I was trudging through work, never really making progress on anything, but at the end of the week I wrapped up a couple smaller projects which felt like a victory!
I had also done a lot of retail therapy the week before, so it was a fun week of deliveries. 😅
The final blinds for our house came in! Now that we’ve been here for more than two years, all of our regular windows (so, doors and a few smaller windows not included) now have blinds in them. Sean found these on Amazon and we loved them, especially since you can get them customized within 1/8 of an inch, so we slowly purchased them over the past few years.
Now that blinds are in, we started investing in curtains—we priced out curtains for the whole house and are going to slowly purchase them room by room as we’re able. We started with the living room and love them. We got four of these panels and they’re so pretty and soft. I can’t wait to get the curtains for the rest of the house!
And with September here, I’ve started going big on comfy clothes. I ordered two sweatshirts for myself and they both arrived this week. I love the feel of a new sweatshirt, so I’ve been wearing them both as often as the temperature allows. This is a great Halloween-without-being-obviously-Halloween option, and this one will be my new WFH uniform.
And finally, I treated myself to these knock-off AirPods which have been a game-changing investment in my ability to listen to podcasts. No more cord strings or phone pocket necessary!
Sean and I also celebrated our third wedding anniversary on Thursday! We obviously couldn’t do too much to celebrate, but we went out to one of our favorite local breweries who has outdoor seating. It was nice to get out of the house, but it also gave me a bit of anxiety so I don’t think we’ll be doing much more of that any time soon.
Feeling very thankful to have tomorrow off. I was tempted to get some more work done without the distraction of meetings or chat messages, but since it’s my last non-weekend day off until the week of Thanksgiving, I’m going to really focus on relaxing instead.
Have a great rest of your long weekend!
