Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
It was a short week, which was so nice. I think Sean and I both needed Monday off. Of course it’s our last day off until the week of Thanksgiving, but I’m sure we’ll power through! In true 2020 fashion, the next 3 months will go by both ungodly slowly and insanely fast.
We did a bunch of cleaning on Sunday and Monday, tackling more of the basement (we still have a long way to go but it’s better!), the fridge, and the espresso machine. I also broke an almost-30-year streak—I finally got stung by a bee on Monday evening while taking the dog for a walk.
I didn’t work too terribly long on Tuesday and Wednesday (dare I even say normal amounts?) but then worked crazy long days both Thursday and Friday. It’s all about balance, I guess?
Other than that, I’ve pretty much just been listening to podcasts (I finished Dolly Parton’s America which I highly recommend!), reading, and playing Animal Crossing. After a bunch of weeks of go-go-go, it felt nice to take some pressure off and relax instead of filling all of our free time with home projects.
Oh, and I treated myself to both of Chrissy Teigen’s cookbooks this week, and I can’t wait to dive into them.
