It’s nearly February, which can only mean one thing.
It’s almost my birthday!
Okay, maybe it means one more thing. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.
Is it just me, or is Valentine’s Day one of the most stressful holidays?
If you don’t have a significant other, you’re incredibly self-conscious for the first two weeks of February.
If you do have a significant other, you’ve got incredible pressure to give him or her the perfect Valentine’s Day gift or date.
Well, I’m here to (hopefully) help with the second issue.
I’ve got a pretty easy (albeit time-consuming) Valentine’s Day gift for you.
Instagram Photo Album Valentine’s Day Gift
I saw this project a few months back on A Beautiful Mess and fell in love with the idea.
For example, I made an album of our Mediterranean cruise photos, only some of which were on my Instagram.
Sean doesn’t use Instagram, so I had to use our photos from the cruise and photos from my own Instagram. But if your significant other is an Instagrammer, use their photos instead!
First things first, pick out an album. I found mine at the A Beautiful Mess shop, but you can also get them directly at Studio Calico.
I also recommend getting extra page protectors, because the albums only come with a few.
I ended up using 32 page protectors in my 2014 album and another 35 in my Mediterranean Cruise album.
Once you’ve ordered the albums and page protectors, it’s time to pick out the photos you want to include and get them printed.
I prefer to have them printed and cut before the albums arrive. That way, it’s a simple process as soon as they arrive, making them that much more exciting!
I also invested in a straight-edge paper cutter so I could trim them easily and quickly.
Then it’s just a matter of putting the album together once they arrive!
Easy, right?
What photos would you print in an album for your significant other? What are you doing for a Valentine’s Day gift? Let me know in the comments!
This is such a cute idea. Too bad my guy isn’t quite sentimental enough to appreciate something like this. He would think of it for me, but he wouldn’t appreciate it as much coming from me.
Such a cute idea!
OMG! This is such a good idea! I am definitely going to have to try this, if not for Joshua, at least for me to have! lol Maybe I will give it to Joshua to give to me! lol Thank you for posting!!
This is a good idea, I would include photos from all our travels.
This is definitely an awesome idea and one I may have to keep in mind for Valentine’s Day this year.
These are so cute! I was just saying yesterday I didn’t know what I could do with my instagram photos!
