It’s pretty common knowledge that bloggers love gold everything. Myself included.
I searched and searched on Amazon, but I couldn’t find anything. All the gold staples I saw had really bad reviews or weren’t the right size.
I saw this as a challenge. I was determined to have gold staples, even if it meant I had to make them myself. Which I did.
Gold Staples: What You Need
- Regular staples
- A gold Sharpie permanent marker
Yup. That’s it. You literally just have to color the top and sides of the staple gold.
See how easy that is? Sure, you might get a few odd streaks here and there, but remember: you’re only using one staple at a time. Those imperfections won’t show up on a single staple.
I also tried using a gold leaf paint pen, and it failed miserably.
See how it had way too much liquid on it? That causes the staples to stick together and your stapler to get all gunked up. No bueno.
So stick with the gold Sharpie marker and you’ll be (wait for it) golden!
Voila! Easy, right? Will you make your own gold staples?
