Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
We had an exciting (but busy) week this week. We ordered a desk for the sunroom back in February (aka like 5 years ago) and it finally showed up on Tuesday! It was apparently lost for a month. Lesson learned: if we need to order any furniture from West Elm, wait until the stores reopen and do Ship to Store because the delivery option was painful.
But, we got a bunch of new furniture which is super exciting! A desk and two chairs for the sunroom, a new bed frame, and the nightstands that we got last week. We moved our old bedroom set into our spare bedroom so we’ll actually have a guest room once we get a new mattress! And, yunno, once we can actually have guests again.
I stuck with Couch to 10k again this week which made me really proud! Even on days when I very much didn’t want to go for a run, I stuck with it. Two weeks down, like 12 more to go! 😅
I worked hard over the last few weeks to get caught up on Office Ladies and I’m so glad I did. This week’s episode was about Casino Night, and they mentioned in the previous episode that they were going to have a guest on the show. I knew it had to be John Krasinski, and of course it was! They included their whole 45-minute interview with him and it was just so delightful.
Yesterday was beautiful—sunny and upper 60s, right around 70. We started out by meal planning and picking up a grocery order, then we spent the afternoon outside. We started organizing the garage (and got a full garbage bin worth of stuff out!) and then had a fire in the early evening. It was so nice and started to finally feel like summer!
Today was all about meal prep. We’ve cooked six things so far (!!) and I’m about to cook a seventh. We started the day with some stuffed french toast, then I made roasted red peppers and hummus, and Sean made chili, some meat sauce, and a mac and cheese dish that just needs to be put in the oven tomorrow evening. I’m wrapping up the day by making some Korean chicken for dinner.
