Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
You ever have those weeks when you feel like you got nothing done at work because you were just in meetings the whole time? That was me this week. I’m likely going to get some work done today just to catch back up, but at least there weren’t any major issues like canceling camp or a coworker leaving. Little wins!
Last Sunday I finally signed up for Nintendo Online and had two coworkers to my island on Animal Crossing! It was so fun and really added a new level to the game. I gave them a tour and as soon as I said “this is my clothing store” they went right in and the tour was over. 😂
Sean and I played Pandemic on Monday night again, and realized that when we did really well last week… it was because we were playing it wrong. 🤦🏼♀️ Whoops. We still did some things wrong this time around, but eventually we’ll get it right and win.
We ate a lot of hamburgers this week. A few weeks ago we did a pick-up order at the grocery store, and it’s clearly a new thing for them (they’re a small, local place that opened up just less than two years ago). I wanted ground beef and it said each package had 1 to 1.5 pounds in it, so I requested 4. They gave me 4… but the packages were roughly 3.5 pounds each, so we have a lot of ground beef. Bring on all of the grilling!
I did another pick-up grocery order on Tuesday (it had been about two weeks, which I feel good about!) and this one went much smoother. Masks are now required in enclosed public spaces in Michigan, so I wore a scarf around my face. I did curbside pickup but realized I forgot two things, so I had to go inside, and everyone but two people were wearing masks, which was really cool but also really weird! Oh, and the only things that went wrong with the order this time were because *I* did the wrong thing, so that was nice!
On Wednesday, I finally made a recipe I’ve wanted to make for basically the whole quarantine: cinnamon rolls! When I first went to make them, we were out of cinnamon (which is, yunno, a pretty important ingredient), and then we ran out of milk, so after the trip to the store on Tuesday, I was finally ready to go! By Thursday morning, I didn’t quite know what day it was, but I had cinnamon rolls, and that was good enough for me.
We binge-watched Avenue 5 on HBO this week. It was… weird but good! We started Upload on Amazon Prime on Friday (it’s by the guy who created The Office) and I highly recommend. We binged four episodes in one sitting.
Yesterday was a beautiful day, so we opened up the whole house. It made the 10+ month porch project finally worth it!
