Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Aaaah, the irony. Last week I said I really wanted to stick to Sunday Scratches posts during the coronavirus pandemic, and then this weekend… I totally forgot.
It wasn’t even that I was too busy. I just got so absorbed into my book that I pretty much didn’t do anything else all weekend. 🤷♀️
But I’m here now, ready to reflect on last week!
Last week was exhausting. It started out really positive on Monday, because I organized our new virtual program videos on our Facebook Page for work. But then on Tuesday, I had back-to-back-to-back meetings… which pretty much didn’t end until Thursday.
I did a few things in the evenings (these cookies are amazing), but other than that I pretty much just sat around and did nothing.
I’m an introvert, so three days of nonstop meetings was tough. And I feel bad because I just want to be alone after all of the socializing, but Sean wants to hang out because we’ve barely seen each other all day.
I’m definitely going to try harder this week to limit the number of meetings I have (lol we’ll see) and make a conscious effort to spend more of my social energy on Sean.
In terms of entertainment, I’ve pretty much been consumed by both The Circle (which I binge-watched in three days) and reading. I finished two books this week: The Bromance Book Club and Red, White, and Royal Blue. They were both the perfect solution to a hectic world. I loved both, but I can tell Red, White, and Royal Blue will be one of those books I constantly reach for to reread when I need a pick-me-up.
I got a new stool for my vanity this week as well! I think I need to re-cross it off my 101 in 1001 list. When I got the vintage writing desk from my grandma, I realized I would need a new chair because it’s much lower than my previous vanity. Then I randomly caught up on my Bloglovin feed and found this stool which is perfect! It arrived this week and the corner of my bedroom is finally starting to feel put together.
We did some furniture rearranging this weekend (we’ve officially hit that stage of quarantine) and put stuff back in the sunroom! We ordered some rugs for the porch and the sunroom, so I’ll be sure to take photos once those arrive this week and share them in next week’s Sunday Scratches—which will actually be on Sunday! (I hope.)
