Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! The “running around like a chicken with my head cut off” feeling has extended into the past week, but I’m learning to live with it and just enjoy this busy time. Here are the scratches!
The Week in Review
Sean and I have decided that as of this week, we’re getting back into our “weekly routine” where we have set plans for each day of the week. I’m really excited about it, because I thrive on routine.
On Mondays, we get $1 tacos from Quekas, a local taco place that’s SO GOOD.
On Tuesdays, we hit up Taco Bob’s for some tacos (can you tell we have a favorite food?) before seeing a movie. This week we saw How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and loved it.
On Wednesdays, we typically stay home and work around the house. Sean had some work to do so I cleaned the house a bit and started rewatching The Man in the High Castle.
On Thursdays, we go rock climbing. I crossed off an item on my 101 in 1001 list this week: climbing a 5.8 wall! I thought it wouldn’t happen until the end of summer, but when I told Sean it was on my list he said “okay cool, let’s find one for you to climb” and encouraged me even when I was close to giving up!
Fridays are typically up-for-grabs days. This week we went to Bell’s for their First Friday IPA special, where they have a new small-batch IPA that they tap on the first Friday of the month. This month it was a Juicy IPA and I liked it a lot!
This weekend I’m heading up to Grand Rapids (I’m writing this on Saturday morning because of the trip) for my friend Lexie’s bachelorette party and bridal shower! We’re going out to dinner and seeing Mamma Mia! at the local theatre I used to work at. I’m so excited!
Around the Web
I ended up getting this dress and it arrived just in time for the bachelorette party this weekend! I’m so in love with it.
If you haven’t heard, my InDesign course is currently on sale for $50 off until the spring! I’m relaunching it later this year with more awesome content, and if you buy the course now, you’ll get first access to the new videos!
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking since Chris and Julia lost their a-frame. They always talk about not waiting until a house is “done” to make memories there and utilize the space. I’m trying to use this same attitude with our spare bedroom, which we’re turning into a gym. I moved our bike and a TV up there this week and I’m excited to start utilizing it in the coming weeks.
