Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! This week has been a ball of crazy, in both a good and a bad way! One of the busiest times for me at work begins tomorrow, so I’ve been gearing up for that all week. Plus we’re getting ready to spring clean and purge some of our stuff at home, which has been relieving and overwhelming all at the same time! I’m looking forward to the next week because I can hopefully get some big things crossed off my list.
The NHL Playoffs have begun! I haven’t been able to watch them a ton because we don’t have cable and we’re blacked out of national broadcasts with our NHL.tv subscription. But I’ve been following the scores, and I’m pumped that Vegas is up 2-0 in their series. It’s their first year as a team, so they should be really bad, but they’ve been killing it all season. I’m rooting for them to take home the Cup this year.
I’m just about done with the APD rebrand, which is on my 101 in 1001: Take 2 list and my goals for the month of April! The header images for all of my published posts have been updated, which was a huge undertaking. Now I’m going back and republishing old posts that I took down and getting the header images for those updated as well. I’m excited to have my hockey tutorials back up!
The weather has been really warm for the past few days, which I’ve loved! It got up to the mid-70s on Thursday and stayed in the 60s and 70s all weekend. I actually got to wear shorts! It’s supposed to be cold and snowy again tomorrow, though, so I’m enjoying it while I can. We took Stanley for a walk yesterday which was really nice!
Speaking of warm weather, I really want to up my plant game this year. I saw this post from Apartment Therapy and now I need to find myself a Prayer Plant. So cool!
I really enjoyed this piece from Sarah about digital products you can make in a weekend. Making money from your blog doesn’t have to take forever! It was also the subject of the April Masterclass for Dare to Grow, which you can still access for about a month longer! I’ve got a lot of ideas and I’m excited to bring you guys even more content soon.
As a proud feminist, I really appreciated this roundup of ways to be a feminist at work. I feel like it’s a bit easier for me because I work at a women’s empowerment organization, but it definitely still made me think of how I can improve.
I need to do all of these things from Apartment Therapy. I love that they divided up ways to spring clean based on how much time you have: 1 day, 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 1 minute. So smart!
I went out for drinks and dinner with my neighbors on Friday and so wish I had read this post before I went. I had far too many carbs, which were delicious, but they left me feeling like crap the next morning.
I’m almost done with my new online portfolio site, which is another part of my 101 in 1001: Take 2 list. In case you’re trying to do something similar, I put together a post all about how to make your own online portfolio!
And speaking of web design, the Learn to Code series continued this week with CSS basics for bloggers!
