Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Welcome to the last Sunday Scratches!
That’s right. I’m discontinuing this series. I’ve started to see it as more of a burden than anything, so this type of post won’t be included for the foreseeable future. But that means more useful content for you! Yay!
News from this week:
Another mass shooting happened. As President Obama says, this has become routine.
Trevor Noah brilliantly compared Donald Trump to various African dictators on The Daily Show.
Some farmers in Michigan found woolly mammoth bones, which is pretty sweet.
A woman duct taped her dog’s mouth shut and posted it on Facebook. She’s been charged with animal cruelty, understandably.
But in happier news, rare Amur tiger cubs were born in England!
And my week? It was full of…
Cooking! I did lots of cooking yesterday, and I’m super proud of it. Usually Sean does our cooking so I felt really productive.
Changing desks at work. I can now see out a window and actually have cell phone service! Win win.
Celebrating Year End at work with a pizza party.
Getting sick. But luckily my doctor called in a prescription (on a Saturday no less!) and it didn’t even cost me anything. Thanks, Obama!
Getting plenty of coffee at Starbucks because fall weather has arrived in full force.
LOVING Neely’s new blog, It Starts with Coffee.
Having pie with my grandma for her birthday.
Spending time downtown for ArtPrize.
Follow along on Goodreads or Instagram at @caitlinhonard to hear about these things during the week! xo
