Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
It was a full week. At work it seemed like everyone finally caught up from the holiday shut-down, so more than half of my work hours were meetings. And then after work, I had at least one ~*~thing~*~ to do every evening. After 10 months of no evening plans, it was an adjustment!
Sean and I have been continuing our new year’s habit of walking Stanley every weekday during lunch, which we’ve really enjoyed! So far the only day we skipped was Friday because it was sleeting out.
I had virtual appointments on Monday and Tuesday evening, and then on Thursday we had to make the trip we were dreading—our first Costco trip since September. We’ve been avoiding it because of the pandemic (and, let’s be honest, because of the holiday rush), but the dog was almost out of food so it was time.
The nice thing is, our membership was due to renew at the end of September, and since we waited until January to renew, our membership now expires at the end of January! So we weren’t paying for those four months we didn’t visit the store.
I worked a lot on Friday, and at one point during a meeting with my boss, I looked over and Val was sitting on my file cabinet next to my Warmies bear (you heat it up in the microwave and it keeps you warm!) looking out the window. It was adorable—she made a friend!
I spent yesterday tidying up and working on projects around the house. I have tomorrow off, so I’m planning on spending the next two days relaxing and recharging before getting back into the grind.
