Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! It was a bit of a mess of a week, but I have the feeling next week is going to be better! Here are the scratches.
The Week in Review
In case you missed it, I’m offering $50 off my signature course, the InDesign Adventure Guide, until I relaunch it in the spring. Sign up now and you’ll get first access to all of the new content!
Sean and I hit up our favorite place in town, Maru Sushi, on Tuesday for my birthday! Give me all of the chef rolls.
On Thursday we hit up another event from Kalamazoo Public Library’s Overdue Brew series. We went to Brite Eyes Brewing Company and did a beer tasting. It was so much fun!
I started making fried rice this week, and I think I have my first signature dish! It’s so easy to make, and I came up with the “recipe” out of a desire to use up what we have on hand / avoid the grocery store. Win win!
For my birthday, I got this dinosaur purse and a ring light for my phone! Get ready for all of the selfies.
I also got a big bag of Bombas socks, which I’ve gotten a ton of Instagram ads for but have never tried. THEY’RE SO COMFORTABLE.
Around the Web
I’ve been eyeing these ankle boots. I think I’m going to treat myself to them soon…
LOVED this post about habits. You don’t have to overhaul your entire life to be more eco-friendly.
YES. THANK YOU. You can move to a new city for your significant other and still be a feminist.
I love this little black dress, because it would be perfect for winter weddings. Of course I don’t really have a need for it at the moment so I’m probably going to resist.
