Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! We’re staying in to enjoy the look of the snow without having to experience it. Here are the scratches from the week!
The Week in Review
I crossed off a huge work task this week! On Monday, after 2 months of crazy hard work, I launched a brand new website for Girl Scout Camp! The camp team approached me with the idea at the end of October, and I managed to pull it off in time for registration to open, despite also preparing for the Cookie Program.
I’ve been doing a lot of work getting used to my new Passion Planner. I got a Monday Start version this year, and let me tell you… it’s throwing me off. I know I’ll love it once I’m used to it, but I’m not quite there yet!
I’ve been making solid progress on my 101 in 1001: Take 2 list, with two items crossed off so far this year! I’ve been exploring more features of CoSchedule (which was #43) and I found 5 essential oil diffuser scents that I love (which was #64). I’ve also been working my way through A Song of Ice and Fire (more commonly known as Game of Thrones) a second time! Add me as a friend on Goodreads to keep track of my progress!
Speaking of Goodreads, I really want to experiment with using it as a social media platform for the blog. I’m providing more updates with written statuses and in general trying to be more interactive on there!
On Friday, Sean and I went to a celebration of life for a family friend who died in December. It was nice to see all of our family friends again, though we wish it had been for a happier reason.
After the celebration of life, we went out for a late-night sushi date, and let me tell you, we’ve discovered our new way of doing sushi. Instead of ordering one of the rolls on the menu, we each got a chef signature roll. The waitress asked us what we liked and didn’t like in our sushi, and the chefs came up with an entirely custom roll for us. And they were both bomb. I’m never ordering off the menu again.
Yesterday, we drove up to Grand Rapids to help my grandma with some things around her house and deliver her Christmas gift. It’s nice to be 45 minutes away so we can drop by for small trips like that!
Afterward we met up with friends at Founders and ended up staying for about 3 hours. It was so fun! It really makes us happy to have moved back.
Around the Web
I love this productivity tip so much. I always waaaaay underestimate how long something will take me, so I definitely need to try this.
In case you haven’t come up with a resolution yet (or if you’ve already given up on one) here are super tiny resolution ideas that you could totally do.
And on a similar note, here are ways you can disrupt your work habits this year.
This is so interesting. When it comes to spending, mindset, habits, health–more is caught than taught.
I definitely need a LFT weekend soon. But I’ll probably have to wait until spring because it’s too cold to do anything.
I LOVE this. Your ideal reading situation will probably never happen, but read anyway.
As much as I love books, this really rings true for me. Borrowing books is just as good as buying them! (Use your local library! They’re there for a reason!)
And speaking of buying books, there are so many places to get free ebooks!
Don’t try to quit a habit cold turkey. Swap it with something less bad.
This contraceptive story is terrifying. Take care of your body and find the contraceptive that works best for you!
