Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

It’s Sunday! This past week was a dumpster fire. Here are the scratches.
The biggest, worst news of the week was the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of my absolute heroes. I’m gutted in every possible way. Friendly reminder to vote the assholes out in November.
(My biggest regret in moving out of Kentucky is that I never got to vote against Mitch McConnell or Rand Paul.)
In other dumpster-fire news, an organization that I work very closely with at work started layoffs, which has everyone feeling a little rattled. We also had a COVID scare in my family (thankfully the test came back negative).
So, yeah… hoping the upcoming week isn’t as terrible.
On a lighter note, it was Employee Appreciation Week at Sean’s job, and they negotiated discounts with a bunch of local businesses for all employees this week. We finally got to try Erbelli’s pizza (the pizza we ordered had tortellini on it!), and picked up our favorite burgers in town.
I also built an entire Hamilton stage production on Caitland, my island in Animal Crossing. And I must say, it’s amazing.
Oh, and 2021 Passion Planners have been released! I’m still debating between the classic black and the dark green. Which should I get?!
Yesterday I worked to catch up on all of the house stuff that I no longer have energy for during the week. I’m currently working on the 20-Day Decluttering Cure from Apartment Therapy and I’m surprised how much stuff I’m finding to get rid of!
Follow along on Goodreads or Instagram at @caitlinhonard to hear about these things during the week! xo
I like your T-shirt! RIGHT ON!!!!
