Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
This week was another sprint. It was the perfect storm of 3 main things at work: my new coworker’s first week, our biggest volunteer training week of the year, and the week before I went on vacation. I’m exhausted.
I honestly haven’t done much besides work several 12-hour days in a row. I did Couch to 10k once (womp), and other than that I’ve been reading a bunch after work to wind down. I finished my first book of the month yesterday!
Yesterday we went on our first nature walk of the month (it’s on my August goals to do 3!) and it was so nice to get out of the house. We were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t too terribly crowded, even though everyone is antsy to get out of the house right now.
We also put up a handrail in our entryway, and it looks so nice! We found it in the rafters in the garage (apparently the previous owner took it from a friend’s trash but never got around to putting it up) and it really takes the space to the next level. Plus, yunno, it’s up now to code.
We have the next week off of work, and I’m so looking forward to it. Hello, week of reading, TV, and Animal Crossing.
