Sunday Scratches is where I share the little stuff that has happened throughout the week. In hockey, “scratches” are people who are on the roster but do not play in the game. On the blog, “scratches” are the things that have happened to me throughout the week that aren’t necessarily big enough to be an entire post.

Happy Sunday! Here are the scratches for the week.
I started a new job on Tuesday! I’m still at Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, but I’ve got a new focus. If you aren’t aware, I joined the GSWO team back in 2016 as the Digital Marketing Manager. Back then we had a small but mighty marketing team of 2.5 people, and now we’ve grown to 6.5 and are hiring another! As we’ve expanded, there was an opportunity for me to shift to an internal marketing focus, so starting Tuesday I became the Marketing Manager, Member Experience! We’re hiring my counterpart, who will focus on external audiences and drive demand. I’m very excited about where our department is headed.
With the new role, I spent a lot of the week working. Sean also had a busy week, so there isn’t too much to report outside of my new job!
That being said, we had a big home project begin on Thursday: we had someone come out to refinish the floors in the sunroom and entryway! Ripping out the carpet and tile in those rooms was one of our first quarantine projects, so it’s going to be so nice to get them done. He was working on them Thursday and Friday (while Sean and I socially distanced upstairs) and will finish them up first thing tomorrow morning. More to come soon!
After a very busy weekend last weekend, we took a much-needed break this weekend. We haven’t been doing much, other than a few small around-the-house projects like redoing our house numbers and meal prep. Now if only there were a few more days to continue relaxing…
