Nail Polish Colors for Summer

I love a good nail polish. And while I have no problem wearing my favorite shades any day of the year, I really enjoy being able to match my nails to the season I’m in.

Lucky for me, we just entered summer, one of the most colorful seasons of the year! With so many options, it can get a bit intimidating… so I’ve narrowed it down to my favorite shades to rock this summer.

White

Nothing says summer quite like a bright white nail polish in my opinion! Plus, it has the added benefit in making my skin look tan, even when it’s its usual super-pasty pale skin. 😂

Bright Pink

I’m all about pink, and summer is the time to show off the brightest of the bright!

Golden Yellow

Okay, I used to be super against yellow nail polish. I thought it made you look jaundiced and only worked on darker skin tones. While that’s the case for some shades, I’m all about a nice golden yellow now.

Light Green

Green is such a summer color. It’s the color of the trees, the grass, houseplants that have migrated outdoors… so celebrate it with a nice light green nail polish! The color I’m wearing in the photo at the top is Essie First Timer and I love it.

Nude

On the totally other end of the spectrum… a nude color is always solid. I’m doing a lot of around-the-house work in the summer (gardening, painting, etc.) which means my nails get chipped… often. When that happens, it’s always the hardest to tell with a nude shade, which makes it a practical choice for day-to-day wear in the summer!
