I’m pleased to announce I’ve crossed one more item off of my bucket list!
A few months back, my coworker Casey asked if I would help him design a logo for an event. He’s on the board of Camp Blodgett, a nonprofit camp right on Lake Michigan. Every fall they have their Lakeshore Brewfest to fundraise for scholarships to send kids to camp.
In exchange, I got some free tickets, which meant free beer, hard cider, pulled pork sandwiches, pizza, and pint glasses.
Umm, okay.
For the Lakeshore Brewfest text, I used my favorite font, Bebas Neue.
I then took elements of the Camp Blodgett logo to fill in around the text.
When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find out they put the logo I designed on the pint glasses and t-shirts.
While I didn’t technically design the t-shirt, I’m still achieving what I wanted. The main idea is to have a t-shirt that showcases one of my designs. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and I’m so proud to be able to wear it whenever I want!
Congratulations Caitlin! Your shirt looks awesome…very creative…it really captured the spirit of the Brew fest! And more importantly it’s a done deed from your bucket list 🙂
Thank you so much! 🙂
COngrats! The shirt looks great. I need to come up with a logo as well. Thanks for sharing ;o)

That looks awesome! I totally want to design a shirt myself 🙂
Thank you! You definitely should–it’s great to have something to hold onto that you made / designed yourself 🙂
That is so awesome! I love the logo. I’ve certainly never designed shirts on this level, but my sister and I make matching shirts for our sisters’ trips (we’re cool like that). They always get double takes and lots of questions!
Thank you! And that sounds awesome–such a fun memento to have 🙂
Congratulations!! The only logo I’ve ever designed is that of my blog’s. Such a great honor! <3

That’s a great shirt. I think it would be super fun to make t shirts. I used to paint on mine with craft paint as a kid… this is much more professional than mine. hahaha.
