30 Before 30

February 19, 2020

Today is my 29th birthday! I’ve thought a lot about how to mark the occasion on the blog, but with my 101 in 1001 lists, doing a big “30 things I want to accomplish before I turn 30” felt redundant.

Instead, I’m sharing 30 things I’m excited to do before I turn 30 next year—they’re not tasks, per se, but rather events that I’m excited to celebrate and milestones I’m excited to hit.

So without further ado, here are 30 things I’m excited to happen before I turn 30!

  1. Celebrating my birthday at Maru tonight
  2. Celebrating my fourth / first work anniversary on Leap Day
  3. Starting my new job at Girl Scouts of Western Ohio
  4. Finishing my first ceramics class
  5. Continuing the new lifestyle focus of my blog
  6. Voting in the primary
  7. Going to Barcelona
  8. The Cheevers family reunion
  9. Finishing the porch
  10. Redoing our sunroom
  11. Planting a garden
  12. Spending time with Athina and Guillaume when they visit from France
  13. Trimming back the tree in the backyard (so much less anxiety about branches falling!)
  14. Enjoying a Michigan summer without a massive, stressful house project (*knocks on wood*)
  15. Visiting my parents’ cottage
  16. Improving our yard / the outside of our house
  17. Finishing my 101 in 1001 list
  18. Starting a new 101 in 1001 list
  19. Voting in the presidential election
  20. Spending Christmas in Florida
  21. Paying off our student loans
  22. Seeing a bunch of movies in theatres
  23. Reading 52 books in a calendar year
  24. Cooking more
  25. Finishing the Give a Craft Beer Trail Passport
  26. Exploring more games on our Nintendo Switch
  27. Improving our organization game
  28. Finding and putting up more art
  29. Really utilizing my Passion Planners
  30. Starting to practice calligraphy

So I guess that’s my personality now.
