gasp She’s back!
Welcome to the new And Possibly Dinosaurs! I’m so excited to be blogging again after my half-year hiatus.
For those who weren’t aware, I took some time off over the summer in preparation for my wedding this past September! With wedding planning, increased work responsibilities, and in general trying to enjoy the summer, I knew I couldn’t continue with my blog and actually enjoy it (spoiler: that’s kind of the point) so I decided to take some time off.
And I’m so glad I did! There are so many new things around here now, including my last name (🙋hi! I’m Caitlin Honard now!). There’s a new logo, new colors, a new theme, new hair color (which is conveniently one of the new brand colors)… But most importantly, there’s a new focus.
Lifestyle
I noticed something during my hiatus: I am so sick of reading blogs exclusively about blogging. Which is really awkward, because, well…. I blog about blogging.
Yes, some of this might have been because I was temporarily out of that target market; I was on a blogging hiatus, so I wasn’t able to immediately implement the advice they were offering.
But really, I think it was more than just that.
For the past few years in the blogging industry, there’s been one common piece of advice: niche, niche, niche. Have a singular focus, and try to avoid being a “lifestyle blog.” Heck, I’ve even given that advice. And it wasn’t bad advice, but it did cause something: blogs got really boring. They were all hyper-focused on a single topic, which means after a while, all of the blog posts sounded the same.
So, over the summer, I started gravitating to blogs that had more of a lifestyle feel. Blogs like Space on Third, A Cup of Jo, Cupcakes and Cashmere, Carly the Prepster, and Love Taza. I was interested in their advice, yes, but more importantly, I was interested in them as a person. And that’s what I want to bring to And Possibly Dinosaurs.
Over the next few months, I’ll be experimenting with new types of lifestyle content like book reviews, travel stories, and other behind-the-scenes fun! I’m excited to find out what I most enjoy writing and what you most enjoy reading!

Love Your Job. Love Your Blog.
Don’t worry, I’ll still be sharing lots of blogging and design advice! But I’m taking that in a slightly new direction, too.
In the blogging world, it can feel like there’s only one way to be successful: blogging full-time. And I’m here to say that that’s bullshit.
You can love your job and love your blog; you don’t have to choose one over the other. Whether you need a creative outlet, a side hustle to pay off your student loans, or want to grow your skills to boost your resume, I’m here to support you.
From here on out, my content will be geared toward career-focused women who want to blog and are interested in monetizing, but have no intention of turning their blog full-time. It’s a side hustle, and it’s going to stay that way.
Because, like, consistent paychecks are really great for money-induced anxiety. But there are also times when it’s nice to put in a little bit more effort and get more money out of it. Without having to work in sales, because bleh. Great for some people, not for me.
So in addition to blogging and design advice, you’ll find even more content about how to build a killer career for yourself.
And don’t worry, feminism will still be thrown in! But rather than specific posts about feminism, there will be an overall feminist theme to all of the posts, no matter which category.
Custom Brand Design from And Possibly Dinosaurs!
I’m also really excited to announce that I’m officially accepting clients for custom brand design. Over the course of four weeks, I’ll work with clients to build a beautiful, cohesive brand that truly tells their brand’s story.
At the end of four weeks, you’ll have a primary logo, an alternate logo, brand fonts and colors, typography combinations you can implement on your website, and four collateral pieces of your choice!
I’m now booking clients for January of 2018, and as an introductory offer, clients who book for January or February of 2018 get $500 off! That’s an investment of $1,000 instead of $1,500!
Interested? Head over to the services page for more information and to fill out the inquiry form.
New Social Media
To go along with the new brand (and my new last name!), my social media handles have changed from @caitlincheevers to @caitlinhonard. It’s the same account, so if you were already following @caitlincheevers, you’re now following @caitlinhonard!
I’ve also added in a new Instagram account that aligns with my new focus, @andpossiblydinosaurs. I’ll continue to use @caitlinhonard, but that account is more of a peek behind the scenes; I won’t be using hashtags or trying really hard to brand my grid like you’re “supposed to” on Instagram. It’s going to be Instagram for the fun of it again. (amazing, right?!)
If you’re looking for productivity, blogging, career, and design advice, give me a follow over at @andpossiblydinosaurs! I’ll be sharing more of that content over there, and a lot of it you might not find on the blog at all! Think of it as a mini blog with bite-sized snippets of advice!
Plus, if you’re interested in following my dog Stanley (he’s super cute, so obviously you do), he’s got his own account over at @omgastick. With my Instagram account for work (@girlscoutswoh), that puts my current number of Instagram accounts to a whopping four. (help)
Lots of exciting changes are happening, and I’m looking forward to this new journey as a blogger and business owner! I hope you enjoy these changes as much as I do.
