It’s the first Wednesday of the month, which means it’s time for another Wanderlust Wednesday!
This time I’m pining over London. Sean’s dad and brother visited the capital of England last week, and there are no words to express how jealous I am. Mind you, Sean and I got to go to the Mediterranean with them last summer, but still. I’m jealous of anyone who gets to travel while I have to stay at home.
I’m lucky enough to have visited many European countries already, but I have yet to visit England. It feels like such an iconic place (especially for a Doctor Who and Sherlock fan like me), so I can’t wait to finally add it to my list of places I’ve been.
I have been to Ireland, which is more of “the motherland” for me, but it was 15 years ago. While I remember getting fish and chips, I was way too young to go to pubs and drink Irish beer. Even though I’m more of a cider girl, I’d definitely have to check out a few local pubs in London. And I’m always game for fish and chips, so that would be a must as well.
I’ve heard awesome things about Winston Churchill’s war rooms, so a stop there would be on the itinerary for sure. Plus all of the stereotypical touristy stuff, like Stonehenge (even though that isn’t technically London), the London Eye, the Tower of London, London Bridge, etc.
Have you been to London? What do you recommend doing there? Let me know in the comments so I can check them out whenever I make it there!
